Cirk, a squirrel who stays in the branches when humans decide to cut down and transport his beloved pine tree, cannot bear to see his home meet such a fate. For 300 years, the great tree has sheltered lovers in its shade and animals have made their homes in its branches. It hardly deserves to be cut down for a Christmas tree. With the help of city pigeons, Cirk appeals to those in charge – a Pope, a Rabbi, and the Dalai Lama – urging them to intervene with a miracle.
