On the occasion of the French Presidency of the European Union, the writer Olivier Guez asked 27 writers, one from each Member State, to write about a significant place in his country from the point of view of European culture and history. In the tales and unpublished stories that make up this exceptional collection, memories, points of view and climates intersect that outline a “self-portrait of Europe”, a living expression of the European spirit of the early twenties of the twenty-first century.
