In the not-too-distant future, life is marked by technology and governed by machines. What is an eight-year-old to do?
Bart is always alone, since his parents are far away, on business. He sees them only through a screen, and his only comfort is his teddy bear Kapok. Yet, all too soon, even this comfort is taken away, being deemed a useless distraction by his mother. For young Bart, a bleak succession of identical days seems to lie ahead, trapped in a frantic schedule of obligations. He appears destined for a life of incurable melancholy, until he meets Zoe, a hen who brings Bart’s monotonous days to an end. Zoe shows Bart that life is an adventure, filled with beauty, friendship and fun in nature. Together, this ingenuous child and his feathered friend romp through a fantastic real world and poke fun at technology.
