It’s Not My Fault
Roberta De Falco
A harmless American tourist is killed, and a Ukrainian young woman is viciously attacked on the same day; two apparently unconnected crimes leave the Trieste police force stumped.
Following nebulous clues, Commissioner Benussi’s assistants Elettra Morin and Valerio Gargiulo direct the investigation and soon find themselves untangling contradictory testimonies and tampered evidence. Someone does not want them to discover the truth: that neither the friendly-mannered lady nor the young woman looking for a fresh start are what they seem.
