Fausta Cialente Estate

Fausta Cialente (1898 – 1994) was born in Sardinia but spent much of her adult life in Alexandria Egypt, which provided the backdrop for many of her books. A focal antifascist, she returned to Italy after WW2, and saw out the end of her long life in England. The author won recognition in 1974 when she won the Strega Prize.
