Peter Pan’s Night
Leonardo and his father live in an isolated, coastal villa that can only be reached through an abandoned railroad tunnel in an unspoilt corner of Liguria. Leonardo is ten years old, mildly dyslexic, shy, and insecure. He lives in his own fantasy world populated by superheroes, pirates, and imaginary islands. One evening, Leonardo finds his father at the mercy of a total stranger, a man who has tied him up and is threatening him with a knife. Leonardo will have to fight this grown man on his own, but as they study each other a bond forms between them. Who is this man who plays the piano beautifully and knows Leonardo’s name, and what does he want? In a high-stake game charged with tension, where both psychological and physical violence are only a hair’s breath away, little Leonardo discovers a courage and cunning he didn’t know he possessed. During the course of a single night, he will face his deepest fears and most distressing obsessions. When the new day dawns on the villa everything will have changed.
